Cross-correlator surveys on metallic and plastic mains. Delivered across Delta by Acoustic Leak Detection, a Leak.ca division.
604-239-9934Same-day response in DeltaCross-correlation is the gold standard for locating leaks on pressurized water mains. Two synchronized sensors at known points on a line pick up the leak signature; the correlator computes the time delay between them and resolves the leak position to within a metre or two on a buried main. We operate correlators across copper, ductile iron, cast iron, PVC and HDPE mains for municipalities, utilities, industrial facilities and large commercial properties. Each survey is delivered with the raw correlation data, sensor placement, and a clear locate mark on site.
Distribution mains in dyke-protected service zones, common-line leaks in older Ladner stratas.
Delta's built environment — single-family in Ladner and North Delta, low-rise development in Tsawwassen, agricultural and industrial in Tilbury and Ladner farmland — shapes how acoustic leak correlation is delivered locally. Most of Delta sits at or below sea level on the Fraser delta, protected by dykes and pump stations. Water-table issues, slab leaks and stormwater inflow into sanitary systems are recurring themes, and utility work has to respect strict drainage and ALR constraints.
